Our Leadership
We think it’s important to remind ourselves that Jesus Christ is the true Head of this church as He is of every other true church. The human leaders of this church serve under Christ’s authority, particularly as it is expressed in his Word.
Church Planting Team
Todd and Carissa Davis were sent out by Heritage Bible Church in Greer, S.C., along with some other families and individuals to plant Redeemer Bible Church in Brighton, Colo. God has also raised up additional helpers for this work from Brighton and the surrounding Denver metro area.
Elders
As our church is established, we will appoint elders (pastors) who will provide leadership for our church. These will be men whose lives are examples for other Christians to follow, who are capable of teaching God’s Word, and who can be trusted to wisely and humbly lead the church based on their observed character. Though we see elder leadership as the Biblical model for the church, we also recognize full congregational participation as part of the Biblical model. The elders will always take the congregation into consideration when making their decisions and will also seek affirmation of their decisions by the congregations on important matters.
Supporting Churches
Heritage Bible Church in Greer, S.C. is our sending church, and as such it provides guidance and support for us through its own leadership as we seek to establish this church. We are happily accountable to the leadership of Heritage Bible Church in our decisions and actions. Two other churches are providing support for our church as well?Grace Bible Church in Moore, S.C. and Tri-County Baptist Church in West Chester, Ohio. We are also very grateful for their spiritual and financial backing, so we gladly welcome the guidance of the leadership in these two churches too.
